Purses
Jules Kliot of Lacis recently sent us
samples of Lacis' latest sew-through
purse frames ideal for knit, crochet,
needlepoint, and embroidered
purses with or without beads;
pressed glass fobs for purse tops;
and a Dutch book, Bead Purses, that
Lacis is translating into English,
available as you read this. You'll find
instructions for all-over bead-knit
purses, purses knit with loops of
beads, all-over and loop-crocheted
purses, and purses croched in star
points. There are 21 graphs for a
variety of beautiful Victorian bead
purse patterns (13 in color). The
book assumes some knowledge of
knitting and crochet, but even if you
don't do either, it's beautiful. Purse
frames cost $10.00-$30.00 (a free sheet
shows them life sized), fobs range
from $3.00-$5.50, and the book costs
$15.00 plus $3.00 S&H. Lacis, 3163
